AMD Ryzen 7 5700X Processor

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor has eight cores and 16 threads that support fast loading and multitasking demanding applications. Designed for the Socket AM4 motherboard using the powerful Zen 3 architecture, this 7nm 5th generation Ryzen processor delivers significantly better performance than previous generations. With a 3.4 GHz base clock speed and a maximum boost clock speed of 4.6 GHz, in addition to the 32MB L3 cache, the Ryzen 7 5700X is designed to provide the power needed to manage tasks ranging from content creation to immersive gaming experience. You can further improve the functionality of this unlocked processor by overclocking. Other features include support for PCIe Gen 4 technology and 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM with compatible motherboard. This processor has a 65W TDP (thermal design power) and does not include cooling solutions. Please note that it does not have an integrated GPU, so a dedicated graphics card is required. AMD Ryzen 7 5700X Processor offers a 3-years warranty (No Warranty for Fan or Cooler).

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X REVIEW

The Ryzen 7 5700X leverages the same Zen 3 architecture and 7nm process as its counterparts and drops into the existing ecosystem of AM4 motherboards. Its predecessor, the 5800X, has always been an oddly-positioned chip, with its price point making it the lone Ryzen 5000 processor that didn't make much sense for just about anyone due to competing products from both Intel and AMD. In fact, the 5800X's positioning was so poor, and the Ryzen 7 5700X's absence so conspicuous, that we asked where the 5700X was right in the title box of our original review (seen below). However, that was back when AMD competed with Intel's 10th-Gen processors. The game has changed entirely since then, Intel's disruptive 12th-Gen x86 hybrid Alder Lake chips are now well established as the overall performance and value leader at every price point, and the company's 13th-Gen Raptor Lake chips are purportedly on track for release this year. AMD also has its 5nm Ryzen 7000 ‘Raphael’ Zen 4 chips slated to arrive at the end of the year, but they'll arrive with the new AM5 platform. Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 5700X drops into the long-lived Socket AM4 platforms that have shepherded the Ryzen chips from their infancy with the Ryzen 7 1800X in 2017 to the current day, but that cuts off any future upgrade path for adopters. The other key differences are the two CPUs' thermal design power and clock speed. The Ryzen 7 5800X has a TDP of 105 watts, with the Ryzen 7 5700X's TDP set lower at 65W. As you'd expect from its lower thermal rating, the Ryzen 7 5700X also has lower clocks, but the latter didn't drop nearly as much as you might expect considering the slashed TDP. The base clock of the 5700X is 3.4GHz, or 400MHz below the Ryzen 7 5800X's base speed of 3.8GHz. The more important boost clock, however, only drops by 100MHz, with the 5700X at 4.6GHz versus the 5800X at 4.7GHz.
