Antec DP31 Mini-Tower M-ATX RGB Review
There are a lot of PC
cases to choose from, especially if you’re happy with a full-size ATX
motherboard. However, I’m a huge fan of the slightly smaller micro-ATX form factor, but in the last few hardware generations, there have been fewer
motherboards of this size, and as a result, fewer
cases, leaving me with fewer upgrade options than I would like. Thankfully,
Antec is here, as they’ve just revealed their new micro-ATX
case, the
Antec Dark Phantom 31, or DP31. Not only is it compact, but it looks pretty cool, comes with loads of great features and best of all… it’s pretty darn affordable too.
Antec DP31 Micro-ATX
The
case is nice and compact, but still supports a decent amount of hardware. There’s room for up to five fans, with support for 120mm and 140mm fans in the front, two 120mm in the top and one 120mm in the rear. However, It comes with a single 120mm fan pre-installed in the rear. It’ll also take radiators of up to 240mm in the front, should you wish to fit an AIO. It’ll take a GPU of up to 300mm too, albeit, that’s without front fans or a radiator, so factor that into your measurements. Beyond that, you get room for an ATX PSU, a PSU shroud, a good amount of storage, a tool-free side panel, built-in RGB lighting and more. So, let’s dive in for a closer look!
What Antec Had to Say
“The new Dark Phantom Series DP31 mini-tower M-ATX
case from
Antec features claw-shaped air intakes and an irregular ARGB strip at the front panel. The DP31 provides an incredible building experience with its small yet powerful body structure, making this
case perfect for build veterans and D.I.Y enthusiasts who prefer smaller form factors but still enjoy ARGB features. The DP31 features a magnetic (screw-free) removable tempered glass side panel, affording you panoramic views of your build whilst also providing easy access for building/maintenance. Designed with airflow in mind this very capable
case supports up to five fans or if water cooling is more your thing, a 240mm radiator can be mounted to the front panel, there is also additional space for up to 4 drives to stay on top of your storage and a comprehensive front panel I/O to handle your connections. If your interested in a smaller form-factor chassis, with a fair price point and plenty of options to support your build, the
Antec DP31 may just be the
case for you.”
