VIEWSONIC TD2220 22 INCH 2-POINT MONITOR Reviews :
I have a little thing to add that might simplify installation problems for Windows users. I initially had problems with this monitor, both with Windows 7 and 10. The "drivers" available on the internet (including from Viewsonic itself) are of no help at all. The screen comes up, but totally inert regarding touch screen capability. Knowing from an earlier post that the unit is supposed to be plug and play (meaning that it will find the appropriate drivers automatically), I rummaged around, repeatedly bringing up the screen, disconnecting the HDMI cable, and then reinserting it. No dice. Then I noticed that the unit came with a USB cable (no HDMI though, a bit of a cheapskate move by ViewSonic). I had originally omitted using the cable, as USB is not (to my best knowledge) a video input. However, remembering that USB triggers plug and play, I tried connecting the cable (in addition to the HDMI). Boom! Touch screen enabled, no fuss, no muss.
I bought an DVI adaptor so I could run HDMI to but it does not seem to like the spliter I have it hooked to so I can use my Epson Presenter projector with it as the screen was very fuzzy ,untill I ran a diredt line HDMI cable to it . I tried installing the touch screen pack for 7 on my pc but it would not recognze the monotor as a touch screen ,so I may wind up setting up an A/B VGA switch to solve the control problem ,but I still would like to stay digital but untill I talk to the support dept maybe they can find a way as it does not tell you in the manual ,so that is the way to go for now .
